It’s Friday and that means it’s time for an iPhone app review. This is a new series of blog posts I’ll be releasing every Friday here at The Wired Hoemschool to supplement the podcast. I hope you like this series. If you have an app you’d like me to review, please contact me via email: wiredhs [at] gmail [dot] com
Word of the Day is available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running iOS 3.0 or later. For 99 cents you get a new word every day that you can teach yourself and your children.
- Features include:
- A full year of words and definitions
- The ability to go back and forth to see up to 15 words per day
- Email an interesting word or definition to a friend, or just to send a reminder to yourself to use that word in a sentence
This is a great way to bolster your vocabulary. It has a simple interface and a great list of words. If you’re not up for spending 99 cents on the app you can download the ad-supported lite version. It’s free but you lose the ability to send email.
You can find more “of the day” apps at the Ethan Productions website.
Now I need to find a way to use “louche” in a sentence.
