Catching Fire in STEM Based Homeschooling – #PCA16 Day 14

fire

Today is DAY 14 of a special Podcast Awards edition of The Wired Homeschool. If you want to listen to any previous episodes in this series, you can find them all here.

Let’s get started!

Set Things on Fire

I know what you’re thinking. I haven’t lost my mind putting out these mini episodes. Burning something is a great way to determine its composition. Whether or not something burns tells you a lot about its properties and it’s science! When you’re experimenting with fire, kids are always paying attention. We’ve told them it’s dangerous and they like danger! So what are you waiting for? Go set something on fire!

STEM or STEAM Categories

Science is the predominant STEM or STEAM category here and you can explain how fire is used in the other categories.
