Interview with Christee Brauckmann From Homeschool Buyers Co-op – WHS 165

Today I’m interviewing Christee Brauckmann from Homeschool Buyers Co-op to discuss the history of their company and some of the great deals they have to offer for homeschooling families.

The Homeschool Buyers Co-op is the world’s largest buyers club for homeschooling families. Founded in 2005, they are family-owned and operated business dedicated to providing top-quality curriculum at the lowest price possible. Like you, they are homeschoolers with a love for family and a deep commitment to homeschooling.

Like you, they made the profound and life-changing decision to assume full responsibility for their children’s education. They understand the sacrifices and joy that this entails, and have decided to devote their energies and talents to helping other homeschooling families who have chosen to walk the same path.

About Christee Brauckmann

christee-brauckmannIn a few weeks, I am starting my EIGHTEENTH year of homeschooling! Hard to believe, but it’s true. Of those 18, I’ve served 17 of them (and continue to do so) for a local-level organization called CHEC (Christian Homeschoolers of Cincinnati). I’m married to an incredibly handsome fella – Gerry; and I have 4 kids – 3 I’ve given birth to & one that chose me as a mom. My kids are 29, 25, 17, and 15. The youngest 2 are still homeschooling, the 25-year-old works full-time as a technical support rep & goes part-time to U.C., and the 29-year-old has been in the Navy for 11 years, has a degree, & married w/four beautiful kids that call me Mimi.

I’ve been with Homeschool Buyers Co-op for TEN YEARS! Crazy, but it’s true! Brett started the Co-op about mid-August in 2005, and I came along a few weeks later in September 2005. We’ve been trucking along together ever since. We’ve yet to meet in person, but are the best of friends. He is my brother from another mother. Together, our business & technical DNA makes the right concoction to put together this online organization that serves 150K+ homeschooling families in the states, into Canada, and around the globe. We have seen orders come in as far away as Fiji, Australia, and Singapore & it tickles us pink to be able to serve this community with that far of a reach. We love homeschoolers!

Today, our team has grown – we have a whole slew of homeschooling moms that work alongside us, and a few more folks that we’ve tapped on the shoulder to join us with their business savvy. We connect via phone & online to get the job done, as our team is sprinkled from coast-to-coast. We are delighted that you invited us to share the Co-op with your audience! We have a smorgasbord of member features and perks & I look forward to sharing more with you when we connect.
