Getting Visual – Using Infographics in Homeschooling – WHS 93 – The Wired Homeschool

You’ve seen them all over the Internet, especially on Pinterest and other social media sites. Infographics are everywhere! Some are great and others you wonder why someone bothered to take the time to make them. Have you ever thought about using infographics in homeschooling? You probably already do but don’t realize it. In this episode of the podcast I take a look at using infographics for homeschooling.

What are Infographics?

Information graphics or infographics are graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present complex information quickly and clearly. (Wikipedia)

Infographics have been in use for hundreds of years and they don’t need to be digital. One very famous one is Charles Minard’s infographic depicting Napolean’s march on Moscow was published in 1861. These days infographics are mostly digital.¬†
